Najjar is only a link between specialized notary with our clients). The officiant service could be provided by our clients or by the office contracted for the marriage license). HOW TO OBTAIN A MARRIAGE LICENSE

 

Please read the information below to be properly prepared to obtain your marriage license.

1. Both must appear Together in the same place and at the same time.
2. Both Must be over 18 (if under 18, contact county)
3. If you were married, divorced or in a domestic partnership (with a different person) in the last two (2) years, a copy of your SDRP (domestic partnership) divorce, annulment or dissolution decree will be required. It Must have the court seal and the final dissolution date.

4. No blood tests are required. (that was more than 20 years ago)

5. You must have a current valid ID.

6. Forms of identification must contain both photo and date of birth and are not expired.

7. There is no residency or citizenship status requirement.

8. You do Not have to live in California, Los Angeles, or the United States to obtain a marriage license.

9. Anyone from anywhere in the world with proper valid identification can get married in California.

10. Each person must bring one (1) of the following identity documents.
NOTES:

a) All identification must be current and not expired.
b) Expired IDs will not be accepted in any case.
c) A photocopy of identification will never be accepted.

Acceptable forms of identification for the marriage license must have photograph and date of birth.
– State driver’s license or state ID card.
– Identification of military service (army, navy, air force, marines and coast guard)
– Passport or Passport Card (USA) OR International Passport. A.) It must be valid and not expired. B.) If the passport is NOT in English, a translation is required and it must be notarized. C.) If the passport has expired but the visa is valid, it is still NOT acceptable.
– Permanent Registration Foreigner Card and Certificate of Naturalization. (The border crossing card is NOT acceptable)
– Consular registration: for Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Korea, no birth certificate is required
– Consular card: for other countries a birth certificate will be required. (Translation / notary required, if not in English) **
** It will be acceptable only if all the required information is on the card, such as date of birth and photograph. If necessary, we have a translation service that we use for birth certificates. The additional cost is $ 100 and must be paid in advance. Then we will send the birth certificate for translation, which takes about 1 week. If needed before, rush fee will be charged. We will notify you when the translation is complete.
